TJ Hoes

Annette and her husband have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren, family means everything. She began as a State Farm team member in June of 1996 and have worked for five agents. Being a State Farm team member is not just her job; it is her career and her work family. She is a professional problem solver; licensed to help you with Property and Casualty, Life, and Health. She love working with people and helping them to understand that insurance is about managing everyday risks and helping to recover when the unexpected happens.

Breana has been working here since May of 2020. She is licensed in property & casualty and life & health. She really enjoys being able to help people with their insurance needs! We have a great team here, and all work very well together which makes coming to work enjoyable. In her personal time she enjoys cooking, doing yoga, spending time at her cottage with her family in the summertime, and hanging out with her boyfriend, their dog Russell (when he is behaving) and cat, Miss Kitty!

Taylor has worked for TJ’s State Farm office as a part of the customer service team since July of 2021! She enjoys being a friendly face to the people who walk in the door and is always willing to lend her knowledge when customers need help or have questions about how insurance works! Her and her spouse have two amazing kids and one rambunctious dog that keeps them on their toes! She loves spending her spare time with her family & enjoying our wonderful town, especially in the summer! She also enjoys knitting, crocheting, and often you’ll find her with her nose in a book in her backyard while her kids run around!

Tyler has been working at TJ’s office since the very beginning and initial grand opening of the office in 2019. He graduated from Central Michigan University (Fire Up Chips!) in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and a minor in information technology. He is licensed in property & casualty and life & health. He says his favorite part about our job is being able to provide guidance to members of our community to find whatever fits their needs and helping with any questions they might have. We also have a very team friendly environment in the office and a great group of people that make coming to work each day easy. In his free time, he enjoy chilling with his girlfriend, and hanging with his friends, and is most likely on the golf course or watching/playing other sports.

Reed has been involved in a great State Farm family for as long as he can remember, due to his father’s passion for the company. He just started working for State Farm in early January of ’24, and it has been nothing but amazing. He is currently enrolled at Alma College where he plays football and is am in pursuit of a business degree so he can one day create his own agency through State Farm.

Gavin started at TJ Hoes State Farm in January 2024. He has enjoyed working with the people and helping with whatever he can. A few things about him: he enjoys playing golf, along with being on the lake. He is also going to college to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration. His long-term goal is to further my career in the insurance industry.

Carson recently started in January 2024 and he has learned so much so far, from all the team members here at State Farm. His favorite part about working here is that there’s always something to get better at every day. With the help of TJ, he will be transferring to a State Farm down in Grand Rapids this upcoming fall. In the meantime, he will keep working with this amazing team to ensure that he is ready to be in the big city!

Lisa was born and raised in Alpena MI. She earned a BS in Printing Engineering and Business Management at WMU. She has built a successful career in the printing industry, education, as well as in marketing and public relations.

For the past 30 years she and her husband have advanced their careers while raising their four daughters in Midland MI. They are now in the process of returning to their family farm in Alpena. Lisa is currently pursuing her license in property and casualty insurance and is eager to continue providing excellent service to her community. Lisa is passionate about engaging with the public and is dedicated to delivering friendly customer focused care.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, painting, spending time on the water, alpine skiing and traveling.
